Congress won't be celebrating after Pama Papers probe report'

Kolkata, April 10: Union Fince Minister Arun Jaitley on Sunday said the Congress “will not have many reasons to celebrate” after the details of the multi-agency probe into the ‘Pama Papers’ expose come out.  “There is a very impartial probe going on and it is a multi-agency probe. When the details of the probe come out, the Congress will not have many reasons to celebrate,” Jaitley said here. Seeking a Supreme Court-monitored probe, the Congress has demanded that the fince minister recuse himself in order to ensure a free and fair investigation. Asked how he would maintain impartiality in the probe, Jaitley said: “I am not able to understand their (Congress) argument.” Prime Minister rendra Modi has ordered a multi-agency probe into the Pama Papers expose by the Intertiol Consortium of Investigative Jourlists, which found over 500 Indians had alleged offshore links in the tax haven.
