Congress workers agitate in gaon against BJP

GAON, September 28: The Congress activists of gaon on Monday brought out a procession in gaon town to demonstrate against the alleged anti-people policies takes by the BJP government at the Centre.  A rally was brought out by hundreds of Congress workers which marched through the gaon town raising various slogans demanding immediate implementation of Food Security Act. The protesters also slammed the BJP government for its ‘anti-people policies’ relating to Old-age Pension Scheme, Antyodaya Scheme and total decline in employment. The cancellation of postal stamps bearing the me and image of former Prime Ministers Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi was another reason which enraged the congress workers. The Congress workers were led by Congress MLA Dr. Durlov Chamua. The block Congress committees of Pakhimoria, Khagarijan and gaon Municipal block took part in the agitation. Later the agitators submitted a memorandum to the Prime Minister through the DC, gaon.
