Congress workers join BJP in Donkamokam

DONKAMOKAM, July 7: BJP’s state committee vice president Hare Krish Bharali today said here that that BJP will deliver corruption-free governce in the state.

“BJP Government in Assam under the leadership of Sarbanda Sonowal will deliver corruption-free governce,” Bharali said.

State BJP vice president said this in a programme as part of the celebration of two years completion of Modi Government.

Several Congress workers also joined BJP in the programme held at Donkamokam Waisong playground.

“In our party corruption has no place”, he said.

  Recalling his days as a BJP worker, he said “ Earlier in 1951 BJP was Bharatiya Ja Sangh with less number of karyakartas and by the time it pass we built the party brick by brick to the present stage having now crores of karyakartas.”

“In 1984 as a BJP we had only two elected MPs but now it has risen to 282 which is really unexpected and I believe that in the next coming days Congress will be wiped out totally from our country,” Bharali said.

“Now we are desperate for development, all State capital will be connected by four lanes and by railways soon” he said.

State BJP general secretary Ram Krish Ghosh in his speech said that due to insecurity experienced by the people they rejected Congress.

“Besides it, previous Congress government has indulged in severe corruption without any developmental works in the state with a total deficit of more than Rs 13000 crores in the state exchequer” Ghosh said.

CEM Tuliram Ronghang said that for the cause of Autonomous State and its implementation for Karbi Anglong they joined BJP.

  “Few years back at an election Rally at Kheroni LK Advani assured of granting Article 244 (A) so also in the last MP election at Dokmoka present Union Home Minister Rajth Singh assured the same and for this purpose we are with BJP,” the CEM said.

On corruption charges leveled against him he said that he is the one who is fighting against it and asked for co-operation from all sides to wipe out.

He also assured that Karbi Anglong will be Congress-free district soon. In the meeting both newly elected MLAs of Diphu and Howraghat mely Sum Ronghang and Joyram Engleng was also briefed the meet.
