DEMOW, Feb 21: A meeting was organized recently by Bharatiya Jata Party (BJP) which was presided over by Bijoy Chaliha, president of Thowra Panchayat of BJP, where Dipak Gogoi and Banudhar Gogoi, who had been working for the Congress party for long, joined the BJP along with 60 workers. The workers who joined the BJP said that they were dissatisfied by some Congress workers in Thowra. In the meeting, Dipika Kakoty Dowari, president of Thowra Mandal Mahila Morcha, Kushal Dowari, former MLA of Thowra, Ra Ali, president of Demow Mandal Minority Morcha, and Sushil Barua, secretary of Thowra Panchayat Committee were present. They asked the party workers to strengthen the party.
