Itagar, May 8: The seven-day Maa Tujhe Salaam Yatra of the Aruchal Pradesh Youth Congress (APYC) concluded at Geku on Sunday. State Congress president Takam Sanjoy had on May 1 flagged off the yatra to commemorate the 100th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The yatra started from Itagar and covered seven districts – Papum pare, Lower Subansiri, Upper Subansiri, West Siang, Siang, East Siang and Upper Siang. Addressing fellow District Youth Congress and Assembly Youth Congress members in the seven districts, APYC president Jikke Tako highlighted Indira Gandhi’s achievements and contribution to the development of India, especially Aruchal Pradesh, and asked the youth leaders to follow her Ideology for a better future. “We in the Congress are victims of political conspiracy but despite facing difficulties we never learn to quit. We have to again let people know what Congress has contributed to tion building, particularly Aruchal and that BJP’s is only a marketing government whose ideology doesn’t match with our tribal society,” Tako said.
