Conrad hints at new political development in State

 STAFF CORRESPONDENT

SHILLONG, Oct 7: tiolist People Party (NPP) president Conrad K Sangma on Saturday revealed that fresh political developments in the State will unfold in the next two days.
On being asked to Conrad soon after returning from a rally at Pynursla, 45 kms from here, where hundreds of Congress supporters joined the NPP, why his party is keeping the people in suspense whether Rowell Lyngdoh, Prestone Tynsong and the Dhar brothers are virtually leaving the Congress and join the NPP, he categorically said, “While everything is apparent, many more things will unfold in the two days time.”
When asked whether Lyngdoh, Tynsong and his likes will get the party ticket for the upcoming Assembly polls, Sangma said, “The state election committee is on the job to finish the task and in two days you will get to know about it,” stated Sangma.
Lyngdoh, Tynsong and the Dhar brothers are sitting Congress MLAs, who have already propelled their followers to join the NPP.
Similar to Mawkyrwat constituency, where Rowell Lyngdoh was not visible when his supporters displayed their allegiance to the NPP, Tynsong was not seen in the dais when his close aides declared their association with the NPP. Tynsong is the three-time Congress MLA. He has already sent the army of ants before taking the mantle of leading, said a senior NPP leader while reiterating that Tynsong is already an unofficial member of the party.
Sources said it is Prestone Tynsong, the sitting Congress MLA who arranged the meeting in a subtle manner.
