Conrad K Sangma writes to Jaitley on RD office

SHILLONG, June 20:  Tura Lok Sabha, MP Conrad K Sangma, has written to Union Fince Minister, Arun Jaitley requesting him to put on hold an order to shift the RD (NER) ROC (NER) & Official Liquidator Office (attached to High Court of Guwahati) under Ministry of Corporate Affairs from Shillong to Guwahati.
In the letter to Jaitley, the Tura MP said that shifting of the office to Guwahati will affect many families.
Sangma in his letter said that the local staff and the entire fraternity of the office are in a state of serious concerns with ratiol worries for their welfare and responsibilities towards their families.
“The state of disarray, which is in the minds of the fraternity of the office in Shillong, is unfortutely caused by the sudden approval of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs in shifting the said office from Shillong to Guwahati,” the Tura MP stated in his letter to the Union Fince Minister.
Sangma also said that shifting of the office from Shillong to Guwahati would not be economical and it will also affect the continuity and further development particularly with the impending assembly election in Meghalaya.
