Conspiracy claimed against Chutia students' body

Golaghat, Aug 7: The case of vandalism of a fruit shop by the activists of Golaghat District Chutia Students’ Union is still creating reactions in the town. This time, several organizations have raised counter allegations against the proprietor of the fruit shop and stated it to be a part of conspiracy to malign the image of Chutia Students’ Union.
 The AJYP, ATASU, AKRSU, BAYM, Ahom Se, SC Students’ Union and several other organizations have come forward in support of Golaghat District Chutia Students’ Union and its president Mohen Bora.
 The organizations in a joint press release stated that the allegation raised by the fruit shop owner Tapan Pal of extortion demand by Chutia Students’ Union leader Mohen Bora was totally false and baseless. Also, on the day of the incident where some activists of the Chutia Students’ Union allegedly vandalized the fruit shop of Tapan Pal and which was captured in the CCTV footage, the president of the organization, Mohen Bora was not present there at the time of the incident.  So how could the fruit shop owner file a case against Mohen Bora, the organizations questioned.
 Also, the organizations raised questions on the action taken by the police where a police team searched for Mohen Bora like a dreaded crimil in his house at around 1:30 am. They stated that it was a conspiracy of some non-Assamese businessmen to malign the image of local Assamese leaders and their organizations. All the organizations warned against such conspiracy and challenged such businessmen.
