Constitution Day celebrated at IIM Shillong

SHILLONG, Nov 27: On the occasion of the first Constitution Day, IIM Shillong organized a programme to discuss the salient features of the Indian Constitution and the series of events that led to its creation. The session started with the introduction to the Preamble of the Constitution by RC Saxe, CAO IIM Shillong. This was followed by a critical appraisal of the Indian Constitution by Prof Sanjeeb Kakoty, who described the Constituent Assembly’s task as a balancing act between the need to create a stable present state, and the need to match the desires and aspirations for the future state. The audience comprised faculty members and participants from PGDM, PGPEx and FPM courses.
