Contractual teachers protest at Jorhat

JORHAT, March 28:  High School contractual teachers staged a protest in front of the Inspector of Schools office, Jorhat on Tuesday.  Hundreds of contractual teachers participated in the protest from various parts of the district and shouted slogans against State Education Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma and the State Government. They demanded regularization of their posts. The teachers’ body vehemently criticized the State Education Minister for his ‘failure’ to fulfill his commitment. Later, the activists submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister through the Inspector of Schools, Jorhat.
