Contribution of Dr Ambedkar recalled

Goalpara, Aug 30: Dr BR Ambedkar was remembered on Sunday by Goalpara District Congress Committee (DCC) on the occasion of his 125th birth anniversary. In this regard, a meeting was arranged at the office of the DCC where about 200 people from different communities participated. Presided over by Alhaj Abu Sayed , president DCC, the meeting discussed in detail the life and works of Dr Ambedkar. District leaders like Deben Daimary, Amzad Ali, AK Rasid Alom, Nur Sahin, Sufiqul Ahmed, focused on the moral teachings of the leader and how he fought against untouchability. Several Garo tiol Council (GNC) leaders like Jokim Sangma, Kokila Sangma, Behula Marak also spoke on the occasion in the Garo language.
