Contribution of Radhika Mohan Bhagawati recalled

Doomdooma, Oct 15:  In view of Radhika Mohan Bhagawati’s selfless service, dedication and contribution towards Assamese jourlism, steps should be taken to preserve his memory for posterity. This was opined by senior jourlist and a close associate of Bhagawati, Amulya Khataniar at a commemorative meeting held at Doomdooma Press Club with president Anuj Kalita in the chair.

The meeting was also addressed by Kamal Talukdar and Arjun Baruah, correspondents, Prakash Dutta, Headmaster, Rupaisiding High School, Dhiren Deka and Rishi Das and others. All the speakers reminisced their association with Bhagawati and spoke about his manifold qualities, especially the encouragement he gave them as correspondents. The meeting unimously resolved to preserve the memory of Radhika Mohan Bhagawati at Tinsukia district level with the cooperation of nine press clubs under Tinsukia District Jourlists Association (TDJA).
