Contribution of Sati Sadhani recalled

Joysagar, April 30: Sati Sadhani was remembered by the people of Sivasagar district. A two-day Sati Sadhani Divas was organized by the Sivasagar district Chutia Chatra Sanmilan in the KPM Hall premises of Sivasagar town.

On Saturday, the Divas flag was formally hoisted by the president of the organizing committee, Prof. Ranjit Tamuli and swahid tarpan was done by district secretary Debojit Saikia. On the opening day, various cultural competitions and shows were held. Jorhat MP Kamakhya Prasad Tasa attended the function as a chief guest and he formally released the souvenir of the function.

On Sunday, the concluding function was held. A colorful cultural procession was iugurated by the vice-president of ATASU Basanta Gogoi. The procession passed through the main streets of the town. An open session was also held on the fil day of the Divas. This was presided over by the president of the organizing committee. Many social workers, educationists, local leaders of various tiol organizations and government officials also took part in the open session.

In their valuable speeches the speakers focused on the great contribution of Sati Sadhani.
