Contributory provident fund for school teachers

SHILLONG, Feb 25: The state government has planned to allocate Contributory Provident Fund (CPF) to all the Lower Primary (LP) school teachers who have not come under the preview of the government. The government had in the past provided the CPF only to the teachers of deficit schools but now LP teachers will also be benefited. The state government is planning to introduce the CPF during the next budget session of 2016-17. “This CPF will be implemented from March this year,” joint secretary of Khasi Jaintia Deficit School Teachers’ Association (KJDSTA) Babu Kular Khongjirem informed here today.
