Convention of Sadou Asom Nirman Shramik Union held

MARGHERITA, Feb  28: The founding convention of Sadou Asom Nirman Shramik Union, which is affiliated to All India Central Council of Trade Unions, was held on Sunday at Dimaruguri Gaon Panchayat in Tinsukia district. The convention was presided over by Dipjyoti Konwar and Alomoni Bhumij. Pankaj Dey iugurated the convention. Subhas Sen, president of Sadou Asom Nirman Shramik Union State Committee was present at the convention as the chief guest. Other speakers included Haripad Sarkar, secretary of Sadou Asom Grameen Shramik Union, Tinsukia District Committee, Debth Manjhi and Brojen Konwar and more than 200 people were present. Subhas Sen said that both BJP and Congress were always against workers, farmers and general people. Both parties had cheated and exploited people in the me of development and favoured corporate and industrialists, he alleged. Brojen Konwar said that only through struggle workers, farmers and common people could get their rights.
