Cooperate with government for development: Rijiju

From Our Correspondent

harlagun, May 7: Union Minister Kiren Rijiju on Sunday exhorted the people of Aruchal Pradesh to cooperate with the state government in successful implementation of its road map for development. “The government cannot bring development without the cooperation of the people. Any developmental projects will be successful only if people stop resisting it in the pretext of petty issues and whole-heartedly support the government,” Rijiju, the Union Minister of State for Home said while attending a function of Northeast Frontier Railways at railway station here.

Rijiju asked the people to support Chief Minister and to work under his (Khandu) concept of ‘Team Aruchal’ for a prosperous state. Referring to the new seven Broad Gauge railway lines in the state along the foothill areas, survey of which commenced today, the union minister said that the new lines would give a major fillip to the Industrial Corridor in the state proposed by the Centre. “There is no better and cheap mode of service like railway and with the introduction of harlagun-Guwahati Shatabdi Express, mode of communication for the people would be easier,” he said adding, railway connectivity in the state would boost economic activities and change lifestyle of the people. Stating that real inroads of railways to the state began during 2015 after Prime Minister rendra Modi flagged off the harlagun-New Delhi Express train on February 20 during the year, Rijiju alleged that the state was earlier neglected.  The minister also called upon the railway authorities to execute all the projects within the deadline and to immediately hold the users consultative committee meeting for the benefit of the people.
