Coordition meeting held

Itagar, May 22: In a coordition meeting with officers of DDK, AIR and Information and Public Relations department, a detailed plan for coordited information plan was chalked out under the chairmanship of IPR secretary Som Chombey here recently. The IPR secretary while appreciating the role of DDK and AIR in dissemition of information of public interest, called upon the officers of the department to make effective broadcasting plans of news and programmes on government initiatives and achievements. He also stressed on eliciting proper feedback from public so that government agencies can review and rectify their plans and schemes, an official release informed.In the meeting, a plan for preparation of a roaster for various ministers and senior officers for talk shows and interviews on major schemes and initiatives of government by AIR and DDK was also fixed.Other important point of discussion was on timely filing of news reports by IPR officers to all news agencies including Regiol News Unit which serves for both DDK and AIR.
Chombey also informed that in order to strengthen, streamline and coordite news services, a media centre would be soon set up in the Secretariat Building which would be manned by an IPR officer.Facilities for press conference, interview of senior officers and ministers and also supply of news matter would also be provided in the centre. IPR director C M Longphong assured to coordite with both the agencies for better and more efficient dissemition of information, the release added.
