Cops to take up case with Facebook

SHILLONG, Sept 13: The Meghalaya Police on Wednesday said the case pertaining to the recent malicious post on Facebook concerning the Marvelene Inn case will be taken up directly with Facebook to trace the user. Speaking to reporters here, East Khasi Hills SP Davis Marak said, “The person who had made the post seems to be a fake user and the post had disappeared from the social networking site. We will try to find out who that person is and whether persol vendetta was behind the malicious post.” He said the police have received three FIRs and the case has been registered. The entire episode emerged once again after a Facebook user uploaded a controversial post.
