CoRP dotes blankets, rice

SHILLONG, Nov 15: The Confederation of Ri Bhoi People (CoRP) Lumshyrwat Unit in an act of charity towards senior citizen and orphans in the village, doted 12 sack of rice to 20 orphans and distributed blankets to ten senior citizen of Umroi Pyllunha village at Dorbar Hall Lumshyrwat recently.

Jeson S Mawlong distributed the sacks of rice and blankets to the orphans and senior citizen of the village in a programme.

Speaking on the occasion, Mawlong praised the initiative taken up by CoRP Lumshyrwat Unit.

“These are small gifts and maybe they are not up to your expectations, but I believe all of you will accept the small gifts from this organization with an open heart,” he said.

Meanwhile, president of CoRP Lumshyrwat Unit Sonny Jyrwa expressed his gratitude to the headmen besides other village heads who had encouraged the organization in taking up the initiative especially towards J Mawlong and BL Nongbri who doted rice and blankets to the orphans and senior citizens.
