Corrupt government officials, political leaders will be punished: Tasa

JORHAT, Nov 21:  Member of Parliament (MP) of Jorhat parliamentary constituency, Kamakhya Prasad Tasa addressed media persons at Jorhat Press Club on Monday. Tasa assured that those involved in rampant corruption of government funds in Jorhat would be punished. Tasa said that all government officials must work towards swift implementation of the government schemes meant for uplifting the underprivileged sections of society. He assured that all corrupt officials and political leaders involved in untied fund scam and Sadharan Jati Bikash Parishad development fund scam would be punished. Additiol Deputy Commissioner of Golaghat, Anjabh Chaliha was arrested for alleged misappropriation of government funds meant for Sadharan Jati Bikash Parishad in Jorhat recently. He had allegedly siphoned off more than Rs 1 crore with the help of council chairman Prabhat Kalita, who is absconding after the arrest of the arrest of the ADC.
