Corruption root cause behind instability in NCHAC: Ranjit Das

Haflong, Jan 9: With the aim to strengthen the party in Dima Hasao and also as a part of his visit to all the constituencies of Assam, State BJP president Ranjit Das along with State general secretary (organization) Phanindra Sarma, vice-president BJYM in-charge Dima Hasao, Palash Lahon, local MLA B B Hagjer and other leaders from stat visited Haflong on Sunday and Monday.

The team led by the State president held series of meeting with the Dima Hasao BJP leaders, Chief Executive Member Debolal Gorlosa and Executive Members of NCHAC and workers at Circuit House, Land Mark and at the Cultural Institute Hall.

At the Cultural Institute Hall on Monday, a party workers’ meet was held wherein State BJP president Ranjit Das, State general secretary (organization) Phanindra Sarma, local MLA B. B Hagjer, Dima Hasao BJP district president, Deben Thaosen, CEM of NCHAC, Debolal Gorlosa, chairperson, NCHAC, Ranu Langthasa, EMs Subrata Thaosen, Amendu Hojai, Samuel Changsan and S T Jem Hrangkhol and all the booth-level committee members were present.

Phanindra Sarma in his speech appealed to all the booth-level committee leaders to reach out to the grassroots masses with the message of Prime Minister rendra Modi and ideology of BJP in order to strengthen the party. He also asked them to be prepared for the NCHAC election supposed to be held in 2018 and to work hard to get absolute majority for the BJP party.

MLA B B Hagjer said though he was confident to get majority in the NCHAC election but the party workers should be more active in grassroots level as the people could give an absolute majority to the party in the election. He also said the party was trying its best for the development in Dima Hasao.

CEM Debolal Gorlosa in his speech said though BJP ruled NCHAC for few months only but it took up many development activities in the district which would help the people, something that had not been done by the previous government. He said he was confident enough to bring BJP to power if election was held even now. Appealing to the people of Dima Hasao, Gorlosa said for the betterment of Dima Hasao only BJP should be brought to power with absolute majority.

State BJP president Ranjit Das, who was also the Speaker of the Assam Assembly, held corruption responsible for the instability in the NCHAC and hence urged people to give mandate to the BJP in NCHAC. Regarding development, he said Prime Minister was concerned for the development of all the people of country, irrespective of caste, creed and religion. He appealed to the workers to make the party stronger and spread the message of development in the grassroots level. In respect of road communication he said , along with the CEM, BJP district president, EMs and all the BJP leaders, would meet Nitin Gadkari, Union Surface Road and Transport Minister, to appraise him about the road condition of Dima Hasao and also request him give special status to the district of Dima Hasao.
