Couple assaulted by security guards at hospital

GOLAGHAT, May 14: A couple from Guwahati were beaten up by security guards on Wednesday at Kushal Konwar Civil Hospital here when they went to meet a patient in the hospital.

Sources said Deepak Pathak and his wife Banda Pathak , who on Wednesday night at around 10.30 pm went to the hospital, were repeatedly punched by two security guards of the hospital when they inquired about the room no of the patient. The couple have filed a complaint against the two security guards- ren Pegu and Dulal Das- at Golaghat police station in connection with the incident.
