Couple drowns in Geruwa river

KALAIGAON, June 12: Shukla Tudo and Shantiuj Toppa of Amjuli under Udalguri district drowned in Geruwa River on Sunday evening. According to locals, the couple drowned when they were trying to across the river. After that, local people found the bodies near the bank of Geruwa River. People alleged that the accident took place because there is no bridge over the river to connect with Udalguri.
