Couple killed in road mishap

Tezpur, Dec 26: In a tragic road accident, an army officer and his wife died on the spot on Sunday night on NH 37 (A) under Tezpur Police Station. The deceased were later identified as Captain Rahul Yadav (32) of Solamara based 7004 EME Battalion and his wife Lovelee Yadav (25).

According to the police, the deceased were travelling to Nowgong accompanied by two friends in an i-20 car bearing registration number UP 32 TC 0629. Police added that the two occupants of the vehicle who sustained serious injuries were rushed to the Base hospital.
