Couple steal vehicle after driver falls unconscious

GOLAGHAT, May 30:  In a daring daylight heist, a Xylo vehicle was stolen today after the driver thrown out of the vehicle in an unconscious state.

According to police, the incident took place on NH 39 at Thukurakuchi in Golaghat district. Police sources said a couple booked the vehicle at Dibrugarh airport today for coming to Tezpur and  as the vehicle  reached Thukurakuchi, driver Tridip Chetia fell unconscious.

After that the couple immediately threw out the driver and made off with the vehicle.

Later local people, who found driver Tridip in an unconscious state by the roadside, admitted him to a nearby hospital. The driver hails from Sivasagar. Police have registered a case in this regard.
