CPI (M) likely to tie up with AGP in Assembly election: Sarkar

TEZPUR, March 16: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar today said here that the statement made by BJP leader Subramanium Swamy in Guwahati is a reflection of his commul mindset. Addressing a press conference here , Sarkar appealed the people of Assam to find an altertive to Congress and BJP. Talking about infiltration from Bangladesh, Sarkar said, “Tripura is free from illegal Bangladeshi immigrants”.  Regarding coal scam he said that the persons involved in loot of the tiol resources must be punished. He further said that the involvement of the former prime minister in such a scam was not untural. Speaking on the possibility of  CPI(M)’s  alliance with Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS) , the Tripura Chief Minister said, “In the last parliamentary election KMSS leader Akhil Gogoi helped BJP. Now if he constitutes a political party, he must make his ideological stand clear. Only after that, our party will take a call in this regard,” said the senior CPI (M) leader. He said that the CPI (M) is mulling to enter into an alliance with AGP in the Assembly polls to be held in 2016.
