CPI (M) MP gives political colour to NWC member’s visit to Tripura

AGARTALA, June 27 : The CPI (M) member in Rajya Sabha from Tripura, Jhar Das Baidya, said the recent visit of the tiol Women Commission member Sushma Sahu was of political in ture.
In a letter to the chairman of the tiol Women Commission, she alleged that the way Sahu conducted her visit to Tripura had denigrated the dignity of the autonomous body and she should be removed from the membership.
The letter stated that during her visit Sahu did not contact with any of the state government officials or the state women commission.
She said the state BJP leaders all along accompanied her during the visit and while she was addressing a press conference the BJP leader was sitting beside her. 
She also alleged that the NWC member has made series of allegations against the state government regarding lack of security of women in the state which were totally baseless. During a two-day visit in the state, she visited the house of some victims and met some at the state guest house. Later, she alleged that the women are totally insecure in this state and asked the director general of police to send a detail report regarding atrocities against women in the state.
