CPI (M) stages demonstration against auctioning of oilfields

Bongaigaon, July 2:  CPI (M), Manikpur Anchalik Committee, staged a two-hour long demonstration on Saturday in Manikpur Bazar area of Bongaigaon district against Centre’s decision to auction of 12 small oil fields of Assam. Rabin Das, CPI (M) State leader, said that this was a conspiracy of the BJP to hand over the resources of Assam to corporate houses. “We strongly oppose such a decision taken for the benefit of big industrialists. We will continue our agitation until the government changes its decision,” he said.
