CPI (ML) demands land patta for tea garden labourers

Jorhat, February 8: The CPI (ML) Jorhat district committee took out a rally at Teok in Jorhat district on Monday demanding land patta for tea garden labourers. About 1,000 CPI (ML), Biplobi Yuba Santha, Sangrami Chah Sramik Santha and Gramin Sramik Santha activists took part in the rally and shouted slogans against the Tarun Gogoi government. They warned that if their demands were not fulfilled immediately, they would soon start a movement against the State Government. Later they submitted a memorandum to the Governor of Assam through the Circle Officer of Teok.
