CPI (ML) launches scathing attack on BJP, Congress

MARGHERITA, February 15: A mass mobilization programme was organized by CPI (ML) Tinsukia District Committee against the Congress government in Assam for its alleged 15 years of misgovernce and corruption, and the BJP government at the Centre for allegedly favouring corporate and indulging in commul politics, at hot Line Kechahoon Primary School Panitola in Tinsukia district on Sunday.

A protest rally was taken out at Panitola town where more than 2,000 agitators took part by holding banners and flags and raised various slogans against Chabua LAC MLA Raju Sahu, the Tarun Gogoi government and the Modi government. After that a public meeting was held which was presided over by Comrade Subrajyoti Bardhan, State CPI (ML) leader. Comrade Dipankar Bhattacharjee, general secretary of CPI (ML) Central Committee was present as chief guest along with many other senior CPI (ML) leaders such as Comrade Swadesh Bhattacharjee, CPI(ML) polit bureau member, Comrade Bibek Das, State Secretary CPI (ML), Comrade Pankaj Das, Comrade Rubul Sharma, Comrade Mrili Devi, State secretary of All Assam Pragitishil ri Santha, Comrade Jiten Tanti and Comrade Shakila Munda.

Comrade Subhash Sen in his iugural speech said that since 20 to 25 years, CPI (ML) had been raising its voice for the fundamental rights of farmers, workers and the people of Assam.  Comrade Anil Baruah, who was the Professor of Tinsukia College, was brutally murdered by miscreants at Tinkhong in Dibrugarh district when he went to participate in a tea labour agitation, alleged Comrade Subhash Sen. Comrade Gangaram Kol, a member of CPI (ML) who fought for the rights of tea garden workers, was brutally murdered by miscreants at Panitola on  March 23, 2013 but even after three years, till today no one has been arrested, alleged Comrade Sen. He threatened that before the forthcoming assembly polls if the murderers of Comrade Gangaram Kol were not arrested, the CPI (ML) would intensify its agitation.

Comrade Dipankar Bhattacharjee, general secretary of CPI (ML) All India Committee who was present as chief guest, alleged that both the BJP government at the Centre and the Congress Government in Assam did not want that the people involved in the political murder of Comrade Gangaram Kol should be arrested. He further alleged that the Congress government in Assam had cheated the people in the me of 15 years of development in Assam.

Comrade Dipankar Bhattacharjee slammed Prime Minister rendra Modi and said that acche din had come for the corporate houses but farmers, workers and common people were leading a miserable life. He said that instead of inviting industrialists from foreign countries under ‘Make in India’, facilities should be given to the farmers and workers of the country. He also slammed the BJP and the Congress for dividing the country in the me of caste, religion and community.
