CPI (ML) leader slams government's anti-people steps

From a Correspondent

MARGHERITA, July 23: Subhas Sen, one of the members of the State Standing Committee of CPI (ML), has condemned the killing of Mintu Deori while protesting against the Assam Government’s move to set up AIIMS at Changsari instead of Raha and demanded that AIIMS should be set up at Raha.

Subhas Sen also said that the youth and students of Assam, along with some other regiol and tiol forces like the left forces, had been opposing the government policy of privatization since 1991. He alleged that Chief Minister Sarbanda Sonowal after coming to power was taking anti-Assamese steps. He further alleged that the Assam Government had now become a government of self-deception and taken the path of dividing people on the basis of caste, creed and religion.

Subhas Sen urged all forces of Assam to take bold and firm steps to oppose all anti-people steps of the State Government, which has at the very start allegedly taken the path of suppressing all forms of agitation and movement  by the people in a fascist manner.
