Crimil tracking systems launched

SHILLONG, April 4: The Superintendent of Police, East Khasi Hills, Shillong has informed that the Citizen’s Portal under the Crime and Crimil Tracking Network and Systems (CCTNS) project was launched on September 15 in 2016 in Meghalaya, a press release said. The URL for the Meghalaya Citizen Portal is ; Citizens will be able to register their complaints directly over the internet in case they choose not to visit the concerned police station. Citizens will also be able to modify/view the registered complaint and track its status online. On registering a complaint on the Citizen’s Portal, registration number will automatically be generated and acknowledged on screen. Simultaneously, the Officer-in-Charge of the concerned Police Station is alerted by the system to initiate action on the information/complaint.
