CRPF carries out construction work in border areas

GOLAGHAT (Dhekial), October 1: The 142 Battalion, CRPF Golaghat unit carried out construction of concrete toilet, bathroom and safety tank with running water facility at ‘C’ sector in Border area on Friday.

In a press statement, the office said that the activities had been taken under the Civic Action Programme for the year 2016-17. The 142 battalion constructed toilet block, bathroom and provided safety tank  at Uriamghat Girls’ ME School. The works was taken up under guidance of Commandant in-charge of 142 Battalion, CRPF, Ajay Kumar Rajnikar. Under the civic action programme, some solar lights with plates were also distributed among the people of the Assam-galand border areas to uphold relationship of neutral force among the public in the area. On this occasion, Achla Ram, Deputy Commandant, Border Magistrate, Dr. Surjya Kamal Bora, ‘C’ Sector Commander P. Siva Samy, other dignitaries of civil societies and people of  both Assam-galand border areas were present.
