CRPF celebrates 78th CRPF Raising Day

Guwahati July 27: Like every year, this year also 128 Bn. CRPF celebrated July 27 as 78th Raising day of CRPF in Bn. HQ Noonmati. On the occasion of raising day,  Surjeet Kumar Atri, 128Bn. Comdt  addressed all  officers, jawans and wished them. He then briefed about the establishment of CRPF. CRPF was raised in July 27, 1939 as “Crown Representative” to help the vast majority of the tive States to preserve law and order.

After Independence, the force was remed as Central Reserve Police Force by an Act of Parliament on December 28, 1949. This Act constituted CRPF as an armed force of the Union. In Addition to Arbind P. And ( 2nd in command), Anurudh  Pratap (Asstt. Comdt)  Subedar Major rendra Kumar and  all jawans were present on this occasion. This was stated in a press release.
