UDALGURI, August 9: The 136 battalion of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) distributed water filters to 70 primary schools of Harisinga area.
On this occasion the headmasters of primary schools, Commandant of 136 bn CRPF, Harmindar Singh, company commandant of B/136 bn, Krish Kumar garwal, gaonburhas and other community leaders were present.
Addressing the meeting, Harmindar Singh, the commandant of CRPF 136 bn, said that the CRPF company deployed at Harisinga was engaged to maintain interl security and combat extremism in the region. Apart from this, the battalion had provided water filters to 70 primary schools with an aim to provide potable water to school children.
