CRPF observes 14th foundation day

Silchar, Oct 3: Group Centre, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Dayapur, Silchar has celebrated its 14th foundation day last Sunday. The programme began with the paying of rich tributes to the martyrs by B D Das, DIG, Sub Inspector, Group Centre, CRPF, Silchar, Assam and other officials. Later, B D Das as speaking on ‘special soldiers conference’, praised the soldiers for their acts of valour, courage and bravery. He also asked the soldiers to perform their duties well and that the sky should not be their limit. He said that their contributions count in the end.

 B D Das threw light on the various achievements, milestones and victorious moments that the Group Centre has seen in its 14 years of establishment. Soldiers and their family members are getting all sorts of facilities. A number of aged persons were felicitated on the same day since October 1 was Intertiol Day of Old Persons. Later, a friendly Volleyball match was played between the Group Centre and 147 Bn. A colourful function was also organized in the later course of time. A number of competitions were held which was a followed by prize distribution ceremony.
