CRPF observes 78th Raising Day

SHILLONG, July 27: The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on Thursday celebrated its 78th Raising Day at its North-Eastern Sector Headquarter here in the presence of all officers and men. 
Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Madan Kumar addressed the ceremony and conveyed his heartiest congratulations to all officers, men and their families and wished for their bright and successful future.
Appreciating the 78 years achievements of the force, Kumar said because of its dedication and exceptiol work, the CRPF has become the best force in the country today to maintain interl security.  
“We are proud of our officers and men for their services and sacrifices towards the tion’s unity and integrity,” he said.
He said the unconditiol loyalty of the force is also being appreciated by the whole country and there is no doubt that the CRPF will continue to tackle the challenges courageously with same dedication and devotion. The DIG also exhorted the officers and men to rededicate themselves in the tion-building exercise. Kumar also announced mes of 73 officers and men who have been awarded the Commendation Disc / Letter by Director General of CRPF for displaying their exceptiol courage and leadership in operatiol duties in 2016-17.
