CS letter proves scam charge: APCC

From our correspondent

Itagar, Sept 21: The Aruchal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) while responding to the State government’s demand to substantiate its accusation of Rs 10,000-crore scam, said that the letter written by the Chief Secretary to the governor was enough to do so.

APCC spokesperson HC Tok said, “If the State government is proclaiming that they have done nothing wrong then there should be no problem in initiating CBI inquiry over the matter.”

He added that government spokesperson PD So’s too had said the funds in the State exchequer including salaries, wages and pension don’t exceed Rs 10,000-crore.

On the refugee issues, Tok demanded the resigtion MoS Home Kiren Rijiju and Chief Minister Pema Khandu if they cannot protect indigenous people of the State and cannot work for the welfare of the people.

Insisting that the Congress has already extended its support in the all-party meeting to the proposed committee headed by Chief Minister on the Chakma-Hajong refugee issue, Tok said that the State government is playing the blame game instead of constituting the committee.
