SHILLONG, June 7: The CSWO on Sunday expressed concern over the delay in release of salaries of the staff of a private security company, Ranger Security Service Organization.
RSSO has an agreement with the State government.
The CSWO alleged that the salary of the staff is being kept in banks by the service provider to harvest interests. "The staff of this company does not get to meet the person in charge of payments," it said.
"This is cheating and exploiting by this company and crimil cases should be initiated against them," the CSWO said in a statement adding that the staff are scared to lodge complaints.
The CSWO said that they have received a complaint which states that a single mother has been deprived of her salaries since January this year.
Expressing concern, the CSWO said such companies should be black listed by the government.
The CSWO also urged the government to stop signing deals with such security services, who take advantage of the poor staff who do not dare raise their voices for fear of being termited. The womens' organization said that the government should direct the company to release the salaries of the staff immediately.
