CSWO condemns assault on child

SHILLONG, Nov 23: The Civil Society Women Organization, (CSWO) Meghalaya, strongly condemned the brutal assault of a child by her stepmother in Wokha, galand and reports said she was arrested today.  Earlier this month, she had also assaulted the other siblings for which the CWC had intervened and the woman was forgiven. The CSWO said that these cases of assaults on children should be taken seriously as such acts against minor children will not be tolerated in the society and the organization lauds the bold step taken by the colony people who reported the matter to the police.
