Cultural activist dies in road mishap

GAURISAGAR, April 18:  Udit Chutia, widely known Charkar, a trader of Charing Bortal area, actor, cultural activist and  a resident of Charing Chalihapar village in Sivasagar district, died in a pathetic road accident that took place  nearby his residence on the first day of Bohag. He was 27. On the night of April 14, he was returning home on his motor bike. Suddenly he skidded off after hitting a speed breaker and received seriously injuries. The family members immediately shifted him to Sivasagar Civil Hospital but he breathed his last in the hospital. His demise was widely mourned in Charing and its adjacent areas.
