Cultural evening held

SHILLONG, NOV 18: Border Security Force, Meghalaya Frontier organized a colourful cultural evening on the occasion of “Golden Jubilee Year - 2015” celebrated at Lady Keane College in Shillong.

Neeru Kumar, president of BWWA (BSF Wives Welfare Association) iugurated the programme by lighting the “Deep”.

Cultural programme began with the welcome song followed by classical as well as folk dances like Bhangra and Bihu.

Jazz and Brass bands of BSF made all the present audience to sing and dance on their melodies tunes. The two kids- Hadan San KuparSuping and Sara Daphi from the remote bordering area of Dawki, enthralled the gathering by their Hindi movie songs.

A well synchronized performed by students of BSF School, impressed the gathering.

Prizes were distributed to the performers by the Chief Guest and Inspector General BSF frontier, Meghalaya. On the occasion Sh. Sudesh Kumar, IG, BSF, Meghalaya Ftr said that the BSF were organized cultural programmes at IIM Shillong, NEHU, St. Anthony College, NEIGRIHMS, St. Edmund’s College on the eve of BSF Golden Jubilee Year- 2015.
