Cultural event at Guwahati school

GUWAHATI, Nov 22: South Point School, Guwahati observed this year’s Children Day with a colourful cultural function with varied performances by students of pre-primary classes to class 5 in the evening of 14 November at the school premises, a press release said. Attending dignitaries comprising of senior citizens of the locality and retired teachers of school lit the iugural lamp accompanied by a prayer song by school chorus and a dance of invocation by three tiny tots. Thereafter performances covering the entire range of solo song and dances, group dances, drama, musical performances on acoustic drums and a group tabla recital were presented on stage. The function concluded with the singing of the tiol Anthem by the students, teachers and the huge gathering of parents, guardians present at the venue.
