Cultural programme at Margherita

MARGHERITA, January 12: The 152th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekanda was observed at Vivekanda Kendra Vidyalaya, NEC Baragolai, as tiol Youth Day.

Pranoti Roy, Principal of Vivekanda Kendra Vidyalaya, NEC Baragolai, said that a cultural programme with the theme tiolism had been arranged where school students participated. Group song, group dance, action song, mime, recitation and speech competition were also held among the students.

In 15 places such as Margherita, Baragolai and Tipong, floral tribute was paid before the portrait and statue of Swami Vivekanda by the students and teachers of VKV, NEC Baragolai along with the local people.

Chief guest Dr U C Das, former Chief Medical Officer, Coal India Limited, Hospital Margherita, Utpal Chakraborthy, Deputy General Mager (Fince) NEC, Coal India Limited, Margherita and other resource persons were present in today’s programme.
