Curtain raiser to musical talent

Itagar, Feb 12: The curtain raiser to the first ever ‘Officers and Officials Idol’— a musical talent show for government employees — was held here on Sunday at the Golden Jubilee Banquet Hall, wherein audition was organised for the online entries.

Parliamentary Secretary for Tourism P D So, who was present as the chief guest, lauded the district administration for organizing such an event as it would give a chance to bring out the hidden talent of government servants.

West Kameng DC Dr Sol Swaroop, who was the guest of honour, said that everyone should have a passion or hobby that allows them to relax from their regular duty and what can be more soothing and satisfying than music.

Earlier, DC Capital Prince Dhawan while welcoming all hoped that the programme would set an example that there’s life beyond duty and it would give a platform to all the government servants to come together in the spirit of Statehood Day celebration.
