TINSUKIA: With the screening of III Smoking Barrels, curtains fell on 80-year old cinema hall in Tinsukia town on Friday. Quipped with the best acoustic system, the Paradise Cinema Hall located on Rangagora Road began its journey on December 2, 1938 known then as Krishna Talkies with 100 capacity sitting arrangement. In an emotional get-together Sanjay Khaitan, the present generation owner of the movie hall informed that many celebrities including Dr Bhupen Hazarika, Kalpana Lajmi visited the place. Significantly, Nakul Chandra Bose an octogenarian who viewed the 1st movie Tulsi accompanying his parents in 1938 was present and enjoyed the last screening. Unable to sustain the losses over the years, the management finally decided to close down from Saturday, Khaitan informed.
