DIGBOI, Nov 25: Following the alleged custodial death of an Assamese youth Diganta Saikia of Kujupather village in Bordumsa in Tinsukia district on Saturdaymorning at Diyun Police Station during his custodial period for his alleged involvement in a series of motorcycle theft incidents in Diyun, the aggrieved students’ body, including the AASU, Gorkha, Sonowal Kachari, Adivasi and Deori community resorted to road protest here along the border police check post in Bordumsa.

The agitated student bodies took to the street and raised several anti-Aruchal Police slogans and intensified their agitation by means of torching tyres along the Assam -Aruchal boundary gate.
