Customer meet organised by BCSBI

GUWAHATI, April 22: A Customer Meet was organised by BCSBI (Banking Codes and Standards Board of India) at Guwahati and was participated by a large number of Retail and Micro and Small Enterprise (MSE) customers from local branches of all major banks operating in Guwahati. The Meet was addressed by And Aras, Chief Executive Officer (BCSBI), PVSLN Murty and other officials which was setup by Reserve Bank of India based on Tarapore Committee recommendations and started functioning from February 2006.

BCSBI is arranging such customer meet on a regular basis to provide a platform for interface between customers, bank officials, banking ombudsman, senior functiories from RBI and CIBIL with a view to exchange views and ideas relating to implementation of various code of conduct by bank. The meet held on Thursday at Rabindra Bhawan, Guwahati, conducted views on various topics viz. awareness of the BCSBI codes, Customer Rights guidelines, Banking Ombudsman Scheme, Grievance Redressal Mechanism and details about CIBIL Scoring mechanism. This was stated in a press release.
