Cycle Tour Freedom Ride’18 on Aug 15 to Celebrate India’s 72nd Independence Day

Guwahati: Guwahati Cycle Tour (GCT) 2018 is back with the second edition of Freedom Ride to celebrate India’s 72nd Independence Day with a cycle ride around the city. Last year’s edition of the event called Freedom Ride’17 was one of the biggest cycling events in the region which saw the participation of almost 200 cyclists. This year the event Freedom Ride’18 is expected to be bigger accompanied by more fun. The programme will start at Sonaram High School playground on August 15 at 6 AM and after moving through different parts of the city covering almost 25 kms, will end at Sonaram playground itself. There is no joining fee and participants just need to be above the age of 10. Participants who are between the ages of 10 to 14 need to come with their parents. Wearing cycling helmets is compulsory for all the participants.
