Dacoits kill one in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: In a gruesome looting case committed by a gang of dacoits allegedly killed one Jiten Daimary at around 1 am on Sunday night at Pamohi under Garchuk police station. According to a police source, a security guard along with two others were sleeping in the warehouse owned by the Eastman Auto and Power Limited on the fateful night. At the same time, Jiten daimary, a driver by profession was also sleeping inside his auto van parked right in front of the warehouse. In the meantime, a gang of dacoits comprising 10 to 12 members appeared in the spot and tied up the security guard, two others sleeping with him and Jiten. Allegedly, Jiten received severe physical assault which led his dead on the spot. Following the incident, Manager of the Eastman Auto and Power Limited Dipak Tyagi lodged an FIR at Garchuk police.
